You see, I was insecure about my lame little digital camera, and my awkward Americanness. He reassured me that everyone at University of Cape Town had their own blog, so it wasn’t weird at all, and told me about his own crappy camera, and then I asked him about his pants (thrifted) and we commiserated about the lack of thrift store options in Cape Town. </p> <p>All in all an empowering experience. As I was leaving the beautiful beach in Barcelona, I saw this woman ahead of me wearing a simple white dress with beautiful detailing on the sleeves and hem. Unfortunately, we were in a very populated area and further zooming/creeping to capture these details would not have been subtle enough.
